LeBron James is already a legend of the game, but his legacy could be immortalized in a documentary similar to Michael Jordan’s ‘The Last Dance’.

That’s what John Ireland said on the Awful Announcing Podcast. He said that The Last Dance producer Andy Thompson has been filming James and the Lakers with the idea of creating a documentary about LeBron’s final chapter.

Andy, who was behind The Last Dance, he shot most of the stuff you saw in those 10 episodes,” Ireland said. “And Andy’s a smart guy, he’s already thinking about, maybe, a story about LeBron’s final chapter like he had one for Jordan’s final chapter.

Thompson could also capture a historic 20th season for James, who surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer this year. James also had a run-in with Dillon Brooks, who called him “old”, but he silenced him and the Memphis Grizzlies with his performance.

James also had a proud moment off the court when his son Bronny committed to USC. Bronny became the first in his family to go to college.

LeBron James and Lakers’ title hopes hinge on Anthony Davis’ status

But James and the Lakers hit a roadblock in Game 5 against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night. The Warriors fought back to win 121-106 at home and extend the series to 3-2.

The Lakers also lost Anthony Davis, who left the game late in Game 5 after taking a blow to the head from Kevon Looney. Davis looked woozy and had to be wheeled out of the arena.

With Game 6 looming on Friday, Davis’ availability will be the biggest question mark of this series. There was some hope for the Lakers after the game. Sources told Chris Haynes that Davis did not suffer a concussion and was feeling better.

If Davis can play in Game 6, the Lakers will have a chance to close out the series and advance to the Western Conference Finals. If not, they will need James and their supporting cast to step up and avoid a Game 7.

Either way, Thompson will be there to document every twist and turn of LeBron’s quest for his fifth title and his place in history. Maybe someday, fans will get to watch his version of ‘The Last Dance’.
