One of the greatest players in league history, LeBron James, was allegedly accused of hurling an anti-Semitic remark at a basketball game at the Mandel Jewish Community Center in 2011. After James relocated to Miami the prior year, he returned to Ohio during the NBA lockout to play in a recreational league hosted by the Jewish community.

At the final minute, LeBron James stepped in for a team at the Mandel Jewish Community Center in Cleveland, Ohio, and instantly destroyed his opponents. As he had nothing to do during the lockout, LeBron was passing the time in his native state. He was contacted by some of his buddies who were playing a game at the JCC and informed him that they were a man short and the King was pleased to help. Naturally, LeBron was excellent and guided his team to a ten-point victory, but afterwards found himself in trouble.

According to TMZ, an employee at the sandwich shop inside the center accused James for making antisemitic remarks. As he claims to have overheard LeBron telling his friends that: “These Jews suck at basketball.” He also verbally confronted King after the game by saying: “Princess James get out of Cleveland and F**k you, you ruined the NBA.” According to BleacherReport, LeBron’s teammate mentioned how kind and considerate he was to everyone at the JCC and how “nonsense” the claims regarding his comments are. The man claims that his employer afterwards got in touch with him and informed him that the verbal assault had resulted in a 3-day suspension from work.
