Even at the age of 39, LeBron James doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Continuing to defy Father Time and dominate the NBA world, the 2023-24 season seems like yet another season for the ‘King’. Game after game, James’ undeniable dominance continues to shine and even the Dallas Mavericks coach Jason Kidd has marveled at his greatness.
After James’s stellar performance against the Mavericks recently, it was Jason Kidd, Mavericks head coach, who had to be the one to say the truth. While the Lakers haven’t been at their best since their In-Seaon triumph, it’s LeBron James who has been pulling the strings even at 39. And even Jason admits it.
After their 127-110 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers in away game, Jason Kidd said in the presser:
It’s LeBron. If you were a betting man, you would bet with him against Father Time.
Dallas Mavericks, who have been on absolute fire, couldn’t extend their win record against the Lakers. LeBron James and the Lakers eased a win to make their record with 21 wins and 21 losses.

In their recent win against an in-form Dallas Mavericks side, it was the Los Angeles Lakers who looked to dominate the entirety of the game. With a 127-110 win, it was a much-needed win for the boys in yellow and white, given their recent horrific run of form.
And it was none other than the famous duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James, who were instrumental in their win, providing 53 points together. D’Angelo Russell also had one of his best games of 2024, scoring 29 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds. With that win, the Lakers stand 10th in the Western Conference with 21 wins and 21 losses.
As far as the title hopes go, it still remains a negative look from the Lakers’ perspective. But many ups and turns have happened in the past, and with their recent In-Season Tournament glory, heads definitely are held high moving forward.
