“People want him to be a Knick” New York legend Fat Joe wants Donovan Mitchell to join his team anyhow
With Donovan Mitchell presumably on his way out from the Utah Jazz seems closer and closer, The star was seen with Fat Joe, the American rapper. In a tweet, the New York rapper was seen talking about the desire and appeal for Mitchell to be a New York Knick.
Fat Joe was quoted saying: “New York is asking, They want Donovan Mitchell to be a Knick. You see the people, They out here! They out here!.” Often seen in the courtside seats, Fat Joe is a local to New York and is a die-hard fan. Back in 2010, he had a major role in convincing Amar’e Stoudemire to join the Knicks.
Out of all the teams that are reportedly interested in a trade surrounding Mitchell, New York where Spida is from, seems to be the team that can make a deal with the Jazz for the point guard. While no definitive trade has been made, The Jazz star has been making a tour of the country this off-season as earlier he was seen earlier in Miami playing with Bam Adebayo in a Pro-Am league game.
Mitchell heading out of Utah, New York likely destination
With Rudy Gobert and Royce O’ Neale now out, the Jazz seem likely to be heading into a rebuilt mode and will ship out Donovan Mitchell too although at the expense of cutting their losses as they had planned on building the team around him.
While a Mitchell trade may be sooner rather than later, it is unsure where the point guard will end up in. But if a trade with New York does come to fruition, the partnership of Randle, RJ Barret and Donovan Mitchell would make the Knicks a legit contender come playoff time.
