“Like an old iPhone” – LeBron James SCRUTINIZED by NBA analyst on awful Game 2 performance
Alan Hahn disrespects LeBron James after Lakers go down 0-2 against the Nuggets in WCF.
LeBron James and Alan Hahn
LeBron James is 38 years old and some media members now are calling him out for not being the same guy anymore. After, the Game 2 loss of the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals against the Nikola Jokic-led Denver Nuggets the trend of hating up on LeBron James begin. As unfortunately, King recorded an off-night against the best team in the west.
LeBron James since then has been under the heat as media and fans claim him to be old and past his prime. They also believe father time has got him. But let’s not forget all of these claims are just coming after a bad game of his in the Conference Finals. And, in that bad game, LeBron James dropped 22 points, 10 assists, and 9 rebounds. That’s literally a stat line many NBA stars would love to have in a playoff game. He just came a rebound short of recording a triple-double. But when you are King James the basketball world expects you to be better even in the 20th season of your career.
The media like always has rolled out several takes taking a shot on LeBron James and his performance in Game 2. As in the game he recorded some missed layups, dunks, three-pointers and even gave the ball away by turning it over during an important possession. The take which has made it to the headlines is of ESPN’s Alan Hahn, as he compared Bron to an old iPhone.
Alan Hahn sitting alongside Brian Windhorst and the crew at ESPN’s “Get Up”, went on to disrespect LeBron James via an opening rant of his for not being the guy he’s supposed to be in Game 2 of the WCF. And, while doing so Alan Hahn quoted: “LeBron James’ battery is drained. It’s like an old iPhone. When you plug it in and try to charge it up, it never gets back to 100 percent. He might be at this point. We’ve never really seen him like that.”
Alan Hahn further questioned LeBron James’ strength, durability, and consistency while doubting his ability to carry the Los Angeles Lakers ahead. He also believes LeBron James isn’t physically dominant at the same level. And, all of these beliefs of his came up after Bron had an off-night blowing some opportunities. The take is interesting but also foolish at the same time, as King did his job and even on an off-night almost recorded a triple-double while guarding the 2×MVP Nikola Jokic.

Can LeBron James shut down the father time claims again?
It’s not the first time people are calling out LeBron James for losing to father time and actually being old. As he’s been in such situations for the past 3 years and every time he was able to turn the tables around and shift all such narratives while destroying and shutting down the chirping mouths. He surely, is capable of doing the same but this time the allegations are made during the Western Conference Finals where he’s facing one of the best teams in the league. So the road is going to be tough.
But if LeBron James wants another ring he’ll have to get over it and ball out on both ends. He has to improve his shooting, especially, from downtown during the final 12 minutes.
Game 2 was closely contested (103-108) and even led by the Los Angeles Lakers at many moments but they aren’t just that good at finishing. It’s time for the key players to step up and get going as LeBron James can’t be doing everything, every night he steps on the floor. The coaching staff also needs to improve their adjustments and lineup for the final minutes as the team needs to be better in the clutch to win games.
