“Who’s the king of LA?” Longtime rival Dwight Howard calls out Shaquille O’Neal for a wrestling match

Shaquille O'Neal, Dwight Howard

Former Laker stars Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard have a lengthy history of conflicts and it seems like a lifetime has passed since these two last spoke to one another. For his part, Howard appears to be ready to put an end to his feud with Shaq, and he thinks a wrestling match would be the perfect scenario.

Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard have had a fairly steady feud for years, as Lakers fans are well aware. During Shaq’s playing career, the two were known to insult one another, and this tendency persisted even after Shaq’s retirement. O’Neal and Howard started their careers off relatively similarly because the Orlando Magic selected both of them first overall. They both rose to prominence as the team’s leaders for a while before joining Kobe Bryant’s Los Angeles Lakers. This doesn’t explain the beef between them but a fight at WrestleMania will.

The former Lakers center said a number of things on the show, but one of them struck out. When Howard publicly challenged O’Neal to a match at WrestleMania. He stated: “Guess what? It’s even bigger. WrestleMania is in L.A. this year. Who the king of L.A.? Let’s go Shaq! Let’s go!”

The fact that Dwight Howard is still a free agent is unexpected. Even though his prime is over, the 36-year-old has proven that he can still contribute to the NBA.
