Amidst the speculations that Lonzo Ball’s career has ended because of his knee injury, there are speculations from all sides. Clearing all the speculations, Ball recently spoke on the Trae Young Podcast that he would not be playing this year’s NBA season as he has to sit out due to the recent injuries and their respective treatments and surgeries.
Since the news came out, one guy blamed for his injuries was Ball’s father, LaVar Ball. NBA Twitter quickly called his father out as Ball claimed that the shoes he was playing in were not good, “No one knows the real story about them shoes bro. Them ZO2s I was playing in, they was not ready.”
According to Ball, he had to switch shoes every quarter because their quality was so bad. Ball has not played a single game since January 2022, as he has been kept out due to the ongoing treatment of his knee. Speaking to Young’s podcast, Ball continued, “I finally got the perfect team that I felt like could fit my game and play my way.”

The world, including teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers and Ball, blames the shoes for his downfall. According to Ball, he has had the surgery and is looking for a positive life. “At least now, I got the surgery. We got a plan moving forward. We’ve been on plan. I’m on track. Hopefully, everything works out. I just leave it up to God and do the best I can and live with the results.” With him being hopeful of him soon making a comeback, it will be interesting to see when he does that.
