As Lonzo Ball recently confirmed that he will have to sit out for the entirety of this year’s NBA season too, there were claims about the superstar’s current state of health. One such bizarre claim was made by Stephen A. Smith in his podcast, where he said, “I’ve heard that it’s even hard for him to get up from the sitting position.”

Clearly bothered by Smith’s assertions, Lonzo Ball took to Twitter, sharing a video where he can be seen moving up and down on a chair. The accompanying caption read,“@stephenasmith come to the actual source next time. I’m not hard to reach.” Smith’s skepticism about Ball’s future to the point of questioning his ability to return to form had clearly rubbed Ball the wrong way.

In the video, Ball’s frustration was evident as he exclaimed, “Please tell me who your sources are. Come on man. Come on man, you gotta stop yapping. And I actually like you, man! And I don’t even know you like that, but I like you. I’m coming back, man. Come on!”

While delivering his message, Ball demonstrated that he could repeatedly sit and stand, making it clear to both Smith and the world that he faced no challenges in doing so.

With Ball’s video post, a surge of support flooded in from numerous individuals, all rallying behind him while criticizing Stephen A. Smith’s claims. The online community echoed Ball’s frustration, displaying a collective sense of displeasure akin to his own demeanor in the video.

Lonzo Ball has been out of play since January 2022 and is not expected to make a comeback before the next NBA season. As his team eyes his comeback soon, they have, for now, received a 10.2 Million disabled played exception due to Ball’s absence.

Not only that, there have been NBA insiders who have openly said that the Bulls are optimistic about seeing Ball in a Bulls jersey soon on the court. As Ball eyes a comeback, it will be interesting to see how and when he recovers from his injuries and the subsequent 3 surgeries he had to go through.
