Luka Doncic outperformed the Houston Rockets as he went bonkers, scoring an incredible 47 points.
They ended Rocket’s all-time record-setting 11-game winning streak. The 25-year-old player showed his skill several times during this game, but one in particular caught everyone’s attention. An underhand shot, but what motivated him to make that move?
The shot, which the Rockets were not expecting, happened after the third quarter. In the post-game interview, Luka Doncic also had a pretty humorous response when questioned about the shot. Reporters, familiar with his background, were certain that something funny would surface. And it happened as predicted when he revealed that he had been a bartender in his early years.
I wasn't surprised. When I was young, I was bartending. So I am used to that. I had a good feeling it was going in. it was 1 second on a clock. Those are the shots I like.Speaking in a Post-Game interview, Luka Doncic said
Though it’s unclear if he worked as a bartender, he’s leading his team to the postseason. Doncic leads the season leaderboard with an average of 34 points per game. Whether he worked as a bartender is unknown, but one thing is certain—he loves soccer.
Luka Doncic’s amazing kick aimed the basketball into the ring
Luka Doncic played for Real Madrid before joining the Dallas Mavericks, and he was selected in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft.
Owing to his passion for soccer, he frequently demonstrated his footwork. In his Instagram story on March 21, Doncic was playing basketball with his teammates when he made a magical move and kicked the ball straight into the ring.
He captioned the story with “Should’ve used my foot”. This was not the first time he showcased his soccer skills. He has many videos related to soccer in his Instagram feed. Also when Doncic was first ejected from the game, it was because of him kicking the ball into the crowds.
Had he not been a basketball player, he undoubtedly would have chosen to play soccer. Despite these attempts, Doncic truly enjoys watching soccer because he is a huge fan of the game. He’s had plenty on his plate this season, but he still finds time to follow Real Madrid.
