“How do you like the ‘Doncic Special’ B***h” Luka Doncic silences Devin Booker on court as glorious Mavericks obliterate Phoenix in Game 7

Luka Doncic dominates the Suns

There was a brutal invasion of Phoenix, Arizona by a behemoth known by the name Luka Doncic, and his army of Mavericks. The pillars of Phoenix, Chris Paul and Devin Booker could do nothing but watch as Luka engulfed the court with his fiery display, making the ‘sun’ set over their championship hopes. Dallas Mavericks lived up to their name, going berserk in the first half itself, entering haftime with a 30 point-lead which earned them a 123-90 knockout victory on Sunday night.

Doncic buried the game before halftime, making his first three shots including two 3-pointers, that helped Dallas push to a 27-17 advantage in the first quarter and a whopping 57-27 cushion at the halftime break. Phoenix’s All-Star backcourt of Paul and Devin Booker was rocked to the core and couldn’t recover at all , Booker finished with a measly 11 points and shot 3 of 14 while Paul had 10 points and four assists. The Suns shot just 37.9% from the field as Cam Johnson led all Suns scorers with 12 points off of the bench.

The Suns hosted the Mavericks at Footprint Center for Game 7 of the series. A do-or-die situation for both the teams and the Suns didn’t survive as the Mavericks were successful in pulling down the curtains on them. Doncic was fantastic, making shots from all over the court and finishing 12 of 19 from the field, including 6 of 11 on 3s. He also got some help as Spencer Dinwiddie was stellar in the first half with 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range, as they became only the 8th pair of teammates to score 30 points in a Game 7 showdown.

After all the trash talking, after all the hate Luka has received, after Lil Wayne calling Doncic a ‘ho*’, after the Mavericks were termed as ‘underdog’, to humble the Suns in such a manner would have boosted the confidence of Dallas tenfold. Devin Booker imitated Luka’s foul by calling it the ‘Luka Special’ in the final quarter of game 5, and Luka Doncic responded to that on court, with damaging repercussions.

“How’s the Luka Special B***h” Luka said as a message to the Suns fans and players during their calamitic defeat in Game 7. In the seven & half quarters since Devin Booker said “The Luka Special”, Luka Doncic has 67 points & the Mavs are up by 40 in Game 7.

Doncic and Dinwiddie put up quite a show as they were the first teammates to have at least 20 points in a half in Game 7 since 1997. Phoenix shot just 6 of 23 (26.1%) from the field in the first quarter. The NBA’s best regular-season team, Phoenix had no answer for Luka whatsoever. He scored 27 points, as many points as their entire team did in the first half of Game 7.

Luka Doncic had to be special for Dallas to have a chance, he was stellar and now Dallas are in the Conference Finals for the first time since 2011. The Big Man from Slovenia is a legend in the making, with a performance for the ages, shutting down his haters. Dallas Mavericks will now lock horns with Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals on May 18. Will there be another ‘Luka Special’ or a ‘Chef Special’, the Finals will be one to watch out for !
