Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has not played more than 70 games in the NBA since his rookie season due to the injuries he has sustained throughout his career. Most of his injuries have occurred in his lower body. For instance, recently, after Slovenia’s loss to Lithuania last Thursday, Luka revealed that his leg is not okay. The left thigh injury has been troubling Luka since the All-Star break, leading to him managing his load for the rest of the season and causing his team to miss the playoffs.

Following his team’s loss, Luka spoke to the media and said that he will continue to play for Slovenia. He even played the game against Italy with the injury and has told the media that he will participate in the Olympic qualifiers next summer for Slovenia, all while playing an 82-game NBA season.

If Luka does not recover from the injury and the continuous pressure on it worsens, it could affect both Dallas and Slovenia. Fans are hoping that Luka does not overexert himself and takes the time to fully recover.
