“You can do better son” Luka Doncic’s unreal logo shot fails to impress Jason Kidd

Luka Doncic did not play his customary number of minutes in Slovenia’s 103-88 triumph over Hungary in the EuroBasket group stage on Saturday. But he still found time to make terrible highlights. Doncic did it all in Slovenia’s opening game in this renowned European championship event. He scored 20 points in 19 minutes while shooting 8 of 11 from the field and adding seven assists, seven rebounds, one steal, and one block.
What a performance for the courtside Mavericks’ crew — which included head coach Jason Kidd, general manager Nico Harrison, and assistant general manager Michael Finley — and the throngs of Slovenia fans who crammed the LANXESS Arena sections near the team’s bench and frequently chanted “M-V-P” for their favourite superstar.

Luka Doncic’s out-worldly gameplay

Luka Doncic toyed with his opponents as he guided Slovenia to a resounding victory over Hungary in the EuroBasket 2022. Doncic put on a display, using his tremendous handles and vision to make life difficult for Hungary. He just played three quarters, but it was enough to propel Slovenia to a 103-88 triumph. In just 19.3 minutes of action, the Mavericks’ playmaker ended with 20 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one block.
And who can forget how he nutmegged a Hungarian defender, resulting in a no-look lob to his teammate? Yes, he did it all in one go. Slovenia has already won two straight games at EuroBasket 2022, defeating Lithuania earlier in the tournament. However, Luka Doncic’s performance on Saturday was more comprehensive, demonstrating how lethal he can be when he hits his stride.
Jason Kidd, on the other hand, was unimpressed and had a fairly bland reaction to the triple. After Doncic’s triple, the cameras went to the audience, and the Dallas head coach was pictured with a straight face while the fans behind him cheered in awe. Perhaps Coach Kidd has become so accustomed to Doncic’s antics in games and practises that he is no longer surprised?
Even if Coach Kidd wasn’t as impressed as one might think, it’s good to see him watch Doncic in EuroBasket 2022. He’s clearly developing a nice rapport with his superstar ahead of their second season together. Kidd’s first season as Mavericks head coach was a triumph, as he led the team to the Western Conference Finals. Now, hopes are strong that he and Luka can improve on that performance in 2022-23.
Luka Doncic and co will face Bosnia and Herzegovina in their next match, which is expected to be more difficult. They will not only be playing the second game of a back-to-back, with the game planned for Sunday, but they will also be facing a squad lead by new Portland Trail Blazers big player Jusuf Nurkic. The Slovenians, on the other hand, have every cause to be enthusiastic, especially since Doncic appears to be at his absolute best right now.
