Celtics Star Marcus Smart emphasises on the bond he has with Boston Celtics’ marquee Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown amid tough times. Surely there bond has proved to be pivotal in the 2022 NBA postseason so far and even in the road ahead.

Boston Celtics is on one of the best-ever seen runs in the 2022 postseason and their young core has lot efforts behind the success. Many people doubted capability of the Celtics-trio, considering their age and ball dominant plays. But things worked out well and the results are in front of us, as they lead in the NBA finals 1-0 against Golden State Warriors. Marcus Smart talked about the bond they had, right back on 2018. Marcus lost his mother, and his team mates Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown were with his on the sad occasion. As per the 2022 DPOY, it was a real thing and nothing else.
The trio was held accountable for poor start of the season and also as their failure to delivery any silverware after 5-years of game play. But youngsters were up against some top team, winning series after series.

There were rumors about trade of one of the stars of Boston Celtics roaster, especially either Jaylen Brown or Marcus Smart – in order to make the team compatible for the postseason. But Coach Ime Udoka and front office kept their faith on their core and it paid-off.
It is always either 2 stars from the three who delivers on the given night to snatch win for the team. So far Jayson Tatum proved very vital in the team – winning Eastern Conference Finals MVP award. But contributions of Smart and Brown can never be ignored in any of the games.
The main reason for trade rumors of either of the star was basically for the “Chemistry” between them. But Smart rubbishes the thought and maintained that they have strong bond amongst them. On Sept 16 2018 Marcus lost his mother, who was battling against cancer. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown also flew to Dallas to support their teammate and friend during tough period.
Smart said on that time, “My mom passed; they flew all the way to Dallas to the Funeral, That was for real, there was no tactics. We have special bond outside basketball, and to be able to go to war with those guys makes the bond even stronger.”
Three stars seem to be sharing a common goal of winning the Title this season and their competitive nature on the court is very much on the display. They might have fought against each other during games, and made comments during press-conferences, but they trust each other’s capability and are making strong statement reaching the finals.

Boston Celtics are leading the Finals series after defeating the Warriors by 12 points, where Brown and Smart played important role. May be it will be Jayson Tatum’s turn to step up on the Sunday night for game-2 at Chase Center.
