Wally Szczerbiak took a jab at Tyrese Haliburton and called him a wannabe fake All-Star. Matt Barnes, the former NBA player took an exception to Wally’s disrespect to Haliburton and called him a b***h a** s**t. Read what Barnes had to say about Szczerbiak’s comments on the Indiana Pacers star.
Wally Szczerbiak and Tyrese Haliburton
Former NBA player Wally Szczerbiak took a massive jab at Tyrese Haliburton during a Knicks-Pacers game recap. Tyrese Haliburton is unquestionably the reason for the revival of the Indiana Pacers this season, period! Whatever success they have had so far into the season, Haliburton has more business in their success than any player on the roster.
He is leading the league in assists with nearly 11 a game and averaging over 19 points a game, However, the Pacers are 3-8 in their last 11 games which definitely doesn’t help Haliburton’s case for the All-Star conversation. Even worse, he had a 1-point game against the Miami Heat last time they met and he had a 0 field goal percentage.
Wally Szczerbiak, who works for the New York Knicks TV that broadcasts Medison Square Garden games, recently took a massive jab at Haliburton during a game recap between Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks. He called Tyrese a “Mister supposed wannabe fake All-Star with a big miss.” His comments came after the Pacers star missed a stepback shot with 18 seconds left when the Pacers were trailing by 1 point.
Perhaps Szczerbiak was just trying to make a case for his Knicks player Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson, and he thought it alright to put Haliburton under the bus. “He’s a very good player, he’s not going to make the All-Star team. Guys like Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson will make it over Tyrese Haliburton, and tonight we saw why,” said Wally Szczerbiak.
Matt Barnes rips Wally Szczerbiak for offending Tyrese Haliburton
Former NBA player and analyst Matt Barnes did not like Szczerbiak’s comments about Haliburton and called out the former player, calling him a b*m a** mo********er. Barnes said he doesn’t see a reason why an NBA player would call any player a “Fake All-Star.” “I don’t see why former players feel like its their spot…does it make them feel better to disrespect these guys,” said Barnes.
Barnes said everybody wants to be in the league and yet only 5000 players have played for the league. Being an NBA player one should know how hard it is for the players to make their way. Barnes remarked, “There has been 5000 players in the NBA …..so these guys can respect and undestand how hard it is for these young boys to kind of make their way.” He further added, “If you know the game well enough you can talk about plenty of other shit to critique…and i though what Wally Szczerbiak did was some bitch ass shit.”
Tyrese Haliburton is only 22 years old and he has plenty of room left for improving and eventually finding his game moving forward. Being this young and highly gifted, Haliburton has plenty of years left to make multiple All-Star appearances.
