Michael Jordan is undoubtedly one of the biggest superstars in the sports industry. He is one of the best players ever to touch a basketball. Also, he’s the reason behind the widespread of the NBA and one of the very first global superstars from the league. Every genuine basketball fan wishes to own something from Michael Jordan’s illustrious career. So they can forever remember his “Airness.”

But that’s not possible for most of the fans. As buying such memorabilia is too expensive and not possible for many. Michael Jordan’s game-worn shoes, jerseys, and other owned items have crashed the market for million of dollars. And, the only reason for the heavy price is Black Jesus’ ownership. So many would expect the same when his car is up in the action.

But unexpectedly that’s not the case and Michael Jordan’s 1996 Mercedes-Benz S600 Lorinser is being auctioned for just $23. The stylish two-door sedan even has an appearance in MJ’s docu-series “The Last Dance.” The reason behind it being auctioned off for such a cheap price is to show respect for Jordan’s iconic jersey number, #23.

This has been possible because of the livestream shopping platform, Whatnot. The fans would be able to participate in the auction by joining the drop on their app. The car is also part of a special display for The National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago from July 26-30.

NBA Twitter is never disappointing. And, this time they aren’t holding themselves an inch back while clowning Michael Jordan. Many believe it’s his gambling addiction that has him auction off his car at $23. Some also have brought his different failures into the conversation.

The car’s value in the market is estimated to be near $120,000. Also, this isn’t the first time Michael Jordan has placed it on the market. But its high price never attracted a potential buyer. And, now in a tribute to his jersey number by whatnot, Jordan will finally be able to get the deal done. As the car is about to get a new owner.
