“The crossover TRAUMATISED me” Michael Jordan confessed he was embarrassed when Allen Iverson put him on skates

Michael Jordan was a tough matchup for many players who were paired against him on the court. For almost two decades, MJ would always dominate and embarass the ones who guarded him. But only a few managed to get him back.

Allen Iverson, known as one of the greatest point guards in the history of the NBA managed to break passed Jordan’s barrier defense. The infamous crossover is now known as one of the only times the GOAT was stopped and it seems like he also admits that he was.

AI said, “I remember one time I was telling him I went to Charlotte game and I was telling him how much he meant to me and how much I rocked with him and he said, ‘You wouldn’t have rocked with me like that because you wouldn’t have crossed me like that.’”

Iverson revealed when he first met Michael Jordan, the Chicago Bulls legend almost instantly tried bullying him. AI was one of the shorter players on the court that time so other naturally called him out for his height. In the case of MJ, it gave him all the more leverage over the point guard.

“The first time I ever talked to him was that year, playing in the rookie game. ‘ll never forget it, because he said, ‘What’s up, you little b**ch?’ I’ll never forget it. I looked at him like … ‘All right, man.’” Iverson accepted the challenge that moment which ultimately led to the killer crossover.

AI was definitely a very influential player during his day. Even though he never was as good as Michael Jordan when it comes to achievements, the former MVP was able to impact several up and coming stars of his time. Unfortunately, he is also arguably the greatest player ever to have never won a title.
