Michael Jordan entered high school without being particularly tall. He only stood 5’8″, but he continued to grow despite no one in his family being over 5’10”. He reached a height of 5’11” in his sophomore year of high school. When he entered USC as a freshman, he was listed as 6’2″. However, during his sophomore year at Chapel Hill, he reached the height he has maintained for the past 30 years, i.e., 6’6″.

On May 4, 1989, just three days prior to his iconic “the shot” against the Cleveland Cavaliers that led to their elimination from the 1989 playoffs, Michael Jordan made a memorable appearance on David Letterman’s late-night talk show. During the show, Jordan humorously remarked about his family dynamics, playfully stating that while his father, once considered the tallest in the family, stood at 5’10”, the milkman who delivered their milk towered at an impressive 6’7″.

When queried about the origin of his remarkable height despite lacking tall family members, the unparalleled Michael Jordan responded with his signature wit and humor. “I’m the tallest. My father’s about 5’10, my mother’s about 5’5, everybody else about 5’6 or 5’7. The milkman’s about 6’7,” he said.

Michael Jordan recently sold the majority of his stake in the Charlotte Hornets for a profit of over $2 billion. The 6-time Finals MVP, Michael Jordan, took some time off his responsibilities to enjoy a vacation with his wife, Yvette Prieto and their 9-year-old twin daughters, Ysabel and Victoria. The Chicago Bulls legend took a boat tour around Sicily with his family, and they were photographed during the outing. Here are some of the photos:

In 2010, Jordan purchased his share of the Charlotte Hornets for $275 million. However, under his leadership, the Hornets experienced limited success, making the playoffs only twice and failing to win a playoff series. Eventually, he sold his stakes to Gabe Plotkin and Rick Schnal for an estimated valuation of over $3 billion, marking a significant occasion of celebration.
