The Chicago Bulls icon, Michael Jordan was the epitome of greatness and was expected to always behave in a certain manner. But, as the years progressed fans started to know about the flaws, relationships, and affairs of His Airness. One of which was with Karla Knafel.

However, Michael Jordan paid a quarter of a million to Knafel, only to keep their affair a secret from the public and media. Jordan parted ways with his wife after massive drama in his marriage. MJ’s flirtatiousness could be visualized as he famously wrote a 20-page letter to actress, Amy Hunter, before his marriage, apologizing for not being able to be in a relationship with her any longer.

Now to emphasize some light upon MJ’s spoken-off affair, in 2002 Karla Knafel tried to extort about $5 million from Michael Jordan. It came to light that over a decade ago, she and Jordan were having an affair with one another in the early 90s.

To keep their relationship a secret, the 6x champ paid her $250K. 10 years later Knafel tried to get millions more from Jordan. He would go on to file a lawsuit against her. While he admitted to paying her a quarter of a million dollars, he had not paid a cent after that, according to the suit.  A judge denied Karla Knafel the $5 million she requested as a DNA test revealed her child was not Jordan’s. 

While Jordan can be determined as the greatest player of all time to embrace the league with his presence, he surely had his flaws off court. Indicating that he was only a human, and definitely wanted to enjoy life without people judging him all the time.
