While many speculate who is the greatest basketball player of all time, it has been often found that 6xNBA Champion, Michael Jordan edges over the rest of the pact. So, who wouldn’t be in an unbeatable 5 with the iconic Chicago Bulls player. So, when, Jordan was asked about his preferred five? He surely had some interesting picks and snubs.

While His Airness has always acknowledged the scoring prowess and talent of the King, he decided to opt his legendary 5 by snubbing him. So, to those who are not aware back in 2013, he was asked about his unbeatable starting 5, to which he responded, “In a pickup game who would I pick? Scottie Pippen, for sure, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Hakeem Olajuwon. I got no chance of losing. None at all.”

In an interview years after, Michael Jordan double downed on his choices from 8 years ago, “I’d keep them in a heartbeat. I’m going into trenches. I played against and with all these guys. I’m going to who I know; every single night the responsibility to go out there and represent greatness every night.”

Michael Jordan firmly believes that players from different generations should never be compared. Probably just the fact that he has never played with or against LeBron James, he is not aware of his presence on the court. But that being said, it doesn’t mean MJ dislikes LeBron, especially after both these spoken off legends were seen hugging one another in the NBA 75 Team celebration.

MJ snubbed LeBron James from his ‘unbeatable 5’, but that was largely because the Bulls legend picked players that he played with or against. Jordan is a firm believer that players from different eras shouldn’t be compared, and hence while picking his unbeatable 5 too, MJ stuck to just his era.

Lastly, it is indeed safe to say that both Jordan and Bron share immense respect for one another. Perhaps who knows, what answer we might get from either of them, if they were told to pick an unbeatable 5 now.
