Michael Jordan never knew to back down from any challenge and was inarguably the most competitive athlete on the planet, who not only took opportunities to destroy his opponent on the court but off it as well. In the process even Jasmine and Marcus Jordan too had to bear the heat as they were brutally punished by His Airness in one-o-one sessions, making them cry.
When you are so competitive, it is hard for your kids to not burn in it and the tales of the same were shared by Marcus and Jasmine Jordan. Marcus talked about his dad’s competitive nature in one-on-ones. He shared how he was a freshman in high school, and his dad would bully him and trash talk him like he was just another NBA player. Things got so bad that Marcus would call his mom and cry about the same. Jasmine also shared how their dad would get overly competitive while solving puzzles or playing sudoku.
That being said, there are no doubts that Michael Jordan is a lovely father to all his kids even after the separation with his first wife. Given that the GOAT of basketball has always had a hard time in keeping aside his competitiveness, it was bound to come out against his kids at one point or the other. But here, Michael just wanted to teach them rather than making himself come to the top. Who knows, what the actual intention of Michael Jordan’s competitive spirit was.
