ESPN analyst Michael Wilbon got his guns blazing against suspended Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka as he has not been able to achieve something outstanding in his coaching career. After the Brooklyn Nets fired Steve Nash, they were looking for a potential coach and are trying to rope in Ime for the same. However, any official announcement is yet to be made.

Michael Wilbon was talking on the show ‘NBA countdown’ where he quoted, “Do the Brooklyn Nets have no shame? None, no shame. So they are going to go through what they went through this week looking like just a stupid organization, just dumb plain old. You can’t get anything right; they’ve got nothing right in four years.” The Nets have appointed Jacque Vaughn as the interim head coach for the ongoing season.

Michael added, “You’re gonna make this higher with somebody who is attached to his own shame. Really, you’re gonna double down on stupid and I’m not gonna color this any other way. I’m not going to soft-pedal this. The Brooklyn Nets can’t make this higher.” The Nets were in talks with Ime even before firing Steve Nash.

Boston Celtics point guard says Ime Udoka will accept coaching job with the Brooklyn Nets

Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart shared his disappointment that Boston’s suspended former coach Ime Udoka will likely accept a head coaching position with the Brooklyn Nets. According to ‘The Boston Globe,’ Marcus stated in an interview that he and the Celtics players were told Udoka’s time away from the team was just a suspension and that the situation is a tough spot for everybody involved.

He also added that the players at the Celtics had no idea that someday Ime would leave only to coach their biggest ‘rival’ team. They were all under the impression that he was suspended for a year and would make a comeback after the suspension.

If Udoka and the Brooklyn Nets do not work out a deal, it would be implausible that he would return to the Boston Celtics next season or at any point. On the other hand, if he joins the Nets, the people and the fans there would expect him to do a better job than he did at the Celtics. It will be interesting to see the turn of events following this topic.
