Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe can give complicated and ‘Undisputed’ opinions on the NBA, but they cant seem to tell Mikal Bridges and Miles Bridges apart. Bayless took a short break from continuously jabbing at Lebron James discuss Kevin Durant trade scenarios in Thursday’s telecast. And when the Phoenix Suns came up in the conversation, Bayless had no idea that Mikal Bridges, the second-place vote getter for DPOY, played for the Suns.
On the latest episode of the Undisputed, Sharpe mistook Miles as the player for the Suns and Mikal for the Hornets. The hilarious thing is Shannon actually got it right but Skip kept on correcting him, eventually agreeing they were talking about Miles. Phoenix Suns forward, Mikal Bridges called out Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe over an embarrassing error they made on an episode of their Fox Sports show this week. While discussing a possible trade package Phoenix would be able to put together for Kevin Durant, Bayless and Sharpe both confused Mikal for Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges.

Mikal Bridges plays for the Phoenix Suns. Miles Bridges is currently a free agent starring for the Charlotte Hornets in the last four years. The two are not related despite having the same surname. If that doesn’t clear things up, Mikal took it himself to remind everyone he’s not Miles and not to confuse them with one another. It came after Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless made that mistake when discussing what the Suns can offer to the Brooklyn Nets for Kevin Durant.
It is not the first time people have confused Mikal Bridges and Miles Bridges. There have been a lot of instances that people thought the two are actually brothers since their names are so similar. Not only do they have the same surname, but their names start with the same letter. With that, it’s easy to think they are closely related.
“Who do the Suns got?” Sharpe asked, questioning if Phoenix has enough to give the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Durant. “Do I want Mikal Bridges?” “Miles Bridges,” Bayless said in order to correct Sharpe. However, Sharpe had it right the first time, Mikal Bridges plays for the Phoenix Suns and he has for four seasons. Miles Bridges plays for the Charlotte Hornets has no relation to Mikal.
So what, it was one mix-up, they’ll get the name right in the 2nd time right ? The answer was no. Seven minutes later, Sharpe correctly said Mikal Bridges of the Phoenix Suns, again. And just like last time, Bayless tried to correct Sharpe, even though Sharpe didn’t need correcting, again. However, it is certainly quite shocking that Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless made that mistake. Mikal Bridges is coming off a terrific season with the Suns, even finishing second in Defensive Player of the Year voting behind Marcus Smart. He’d like people to remember that won’t he !
