Mike Muscala is back with the Oklahoma City Thunder after a brief stint with the Detroit Pistons, who have had a season to forget. His return has created a storm on social media due to the way he outlines his NBA journey with a sense of professionalism using the platform LinkedIn.

Muscala’s career in the NBA so far has seen him change teams, seven in total of 11 seasons. He was brought back to the OKC Thunder to add much-needed experience and frontcourt depth.

Mike Muscala was selected by the Dallas Mavericks as the 44th pick before he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks. He spent five seasons with the Hawks, marking the longest tenure he has had with a single franchise. Following his stint in Atlanta, Muscala played for the Philadelphia 76ers and briefly joined the Los Angeles Lakers.

He then found stability with the OKC Thunder from 2019-20 to 2022-23 before being traded to the Boston Celtics. This season, he played 24 games with the Washington Wizards and 13 with the Detroit Pistons before being waived by the Pistons.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will hope that resigning him will aid their championship aspirations. Providing much-needed backup to Chet Holmgren and the young Oklahoma City Thunder team, who are currently holding the number two spot in the Western Conference standings.

How long Muscala will be at the Thunder camp depends on him and his performance. Hopefully, he doesn’t have to go job hunting again. In his career so far, he has maintained an average of 6.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.
