Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges was arrested Wednesday in Los Angeles after a warrant was issued, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. LAPD spokeswoman Lizeth Lomeli confirmed Bridges was arrested but did not release details on the charges. TMZ reported that Bridges is facing felony domestic violence charges.
A video popped up recently that showed the Hornets star going through a standard basketball workout. And that surprised many viewers who were under impression that he might be still undergoing the procedure by the law enforcement department. Miles Bridges was arrested by LAPD after turning himself in Wednesday afternoon. His bail was set at $130k … and he’s since been released. As per reports.

Charlotte Hornets have many young stars in their ranks and Miles Bridges was arguably one of the hottest names in the franchise. He was returning from a career year last season and looked destined for a big price in the NBA free agency. Teams were going to sign Bridges to a massive contract this offseason.

Bridges was the 12th overall pick out of Michigan State in 2018. He averaged 13.4 points and 5.6 rebounds a game over 4 seasons with the Hornets. He had the best season of his career in 2021-22, upscaling the average to 20.2 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. Bridges was the Hornets’ leading scorer last season and was set to become a restricted free agent. He could command a max contract in the coming weeks with the Hornets.
The 24-year-old forward turned himself into a local jail regarding an alleged physical altercation that happened on Tuesday. Law enforcement sources updated that a woman claims she was in an argument with Bridges that turned physical. Police were called to the scene, but Bridges was gone by the time cops arrived.
The team released a statement at the time of his arrest situation, “The Charlotte Hornets are aware of the situation involving Miles Bridges. We are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time.”
