While Michael Jordan was one of the greatest basketballers to have ever stepped onto the court, he surely could not find the same luck in his love life. On one hand where His Airness inspired an entire generation of players on how to perform and compete, his personal affairs always hampered his image. After his divorce with Juanita Vanoy, MJ finally seems to be well-settled with second wife Yvette Prieto.
To those who are not aware, the Cuban born supermodel was brought up in Miami, Florida. Yvette Prieto quickly established herself as a bona fide model, even when she had a fair-share of experience working in the real estate and medical sector field. She even worked in her parent’s company. Prieto was reportedly “a principal with the Miami-based companies Aqua Management and Beet the LBS” at one point in time. However, Prieto had run into some financial troubles in the early 2000s. Prieto filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the year 2002.
Why did Yvette Prieto file for bankruptcy?
On one hand where Michael Jordan married his long-term girlfriend Juanita Vanoy in 1989. After their initial years, the couple couldn’t cope up with one another and eventually decided to part ways after 17 years of marriage through a divorce settlement in 2006. While Yvette Prieto dated Spanish singer and model Julio Iglesias Jr. Incidentally, Iglesias Jr. is the brother of Spanish singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias and the son of famous Spanish singer Julio Iglesias.
The arguable GOAT of NBA and greatest ever player to represent Chicago Bulls met Yvette Prieto at a Miami club in 2008. The couple started living together in 2009. After dating for a few years, Jordan proposed to Yvette Prieto in December of 2011.
After which the couple got married in 2013 at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Florida. In 2014, the Jordan-Family welcomed two identical twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel. Most recently the family was spotted together enjoying their time off on a beach.
