To his amazement, when Broome turned around, he discovered that the fan was none other than legendary actor Morgan Freeman.

As Broome skillfully saved a ball from going out of bounds, Freeman instinctively raised his hand to avoid getting crushed if Broome’s momentum carried him into the seats. Feeling a tug at his jersey, Broome swiftly slapped at the hand that reached up at him. I thought it was an Ole Miss fan just grabbing my jersey and holding onto me. Then I saw who it was and, you know, I'm a big movie guy. I probably watched some of his movies on the plane coming here. But I realized it was him and was like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm a big fan, I'm sorry.' And he just said to keep playing.

Emerging as the central figure in the day’s action, Broome played a pivotal role in guiding Auburn to a notable 91-77 victory at Ole Miss – marking the Tigers’ first Quadrant 1 win of the season. Broome’s impactful performance included contributing 15 points, seven assists, and nine rebounds. Impressively, he secured all 15 of his points in the second half, significantly contributing to the team’s come-from-behind triumph.
