“N***a get off my D***K! F**k you!” – Kevin Garnett VICIOUSLY dismissed ‘big fan’ Joakim Noah during in-game conversation
How Kevin Garnett crushed Joakim Noah’s admiration with a vulgar insult
Kevin Garnett and Joakim Noah
Former Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah grew up a fan of NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett. But that changed quickly when he faced him on the court as a rookie. Noah, who played for the Bulls from 2007 to 2016, had a poster of Garnett on his wall as a kid. He admired Garnett’s intensity and passion that made him one of the best power forwards of his generation.
But when Noah played against his idol for the first time during the 2007-08 NBA season, he learned that Garnett was not interested in his compliments or admiration. When on the court, the former Celtics superstar only cared about winning.
Paul Pierce, Garnett’s teammate on the Celtics at the time, shared the story of how Garnett shut down Noah with a vulgar and shocking remark during a game. “We at the free-throw line … So, you know, KG intense,” Pierce said on the ‘I AM ATHLETE’ podcast. “He looking down, he’s dripping sweat.
“He (Noah) was like, ‘Ayo KG, you was my favorite player, dog. I had your poster on my wall.’ He telling him all this. He breaking down. KG was like, ‘N***a get off my D**K ! F*k you!’”
Pierce said he was surprised by Garnett’s reaction and tried to explain to Noah that he couldn’t talk to KG like that in the middle of a game. “This is in the game. Somebody’s on the free-throw line. I’m like, ‘You can’t talk to KG right now, dog. He’s in the middle of the thick.“

The aftermath of the encounter between Kevin Garnett and Joakim Noah
The encounter between Kevin Garnett and Joakim Noah marked the beginning of a long-running feud between the two big men, who would clash many times over the years.
That was not the only time Garnett insulted Noah’s appearance or demeanor. Pierce recalled another incident that same season when Garnett asked Noah if he could rub his hair like a woman. “One time, he asked Noah if he could rub through his hair, like a female or something … And I know that kind of made (Noah) hot.” Pierce said.
Noah later admitted that he hated Garnett after that encounter and that he lost all respect for him. “I had his poster in my room,” Noah said in 2016. “I used to wear his jersey. And the truth is my rookie year I was in admiration of this guy and he kind of shut me down.”
Noah also said that Garnett was “mean” and “ugly” and that he tried to hurt people on the court. Garnett never apologized for his behavior and continued to talk trash to Noah until he retired in 2016. The two never reconciled their differences and are bitter rivals to this day.
