“There’s skill…there’s talent” NBA Analyst asserts Luka Doncic to be in the best shape to lead Dallas Mavericks
Luka Doncic
Luka Doncic has made his way back to the NBA headlines and the reason is his godlike performances and unreal runs in the on going EuroBasket. He is really shocking the world every time he is suiting up for his nation. He has already got himself a stacked resume by playing for Slovenia and he is continuing that stretch and once again trying to win it all. And, there is nothing which can stop or even bother Luka Doncic. As even with an injured right wrist he is dominating all his rivals on the floor.
Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks last season reached the Western Conference Finals but got defeated by the Stephen Curry led Golden State Warriors. But the Slovenian All-Star point guard last season wasn’t really playing with the potential he has. As he was out of shape during the opening months and was also side lined for quite a while and the team still managed to get a deep playoff run last season. But now the story is completely changed and Luka Doncic has taken the matter into his hands and will be returning back in the best possible shape.
As of now Luka Doncic has led his team to the No. 1 seed in its group and has the best chances of winning it all even though he has got some good competition this time. Recently against Rudy Gobert and France winning the game in fashion, Luka made history while dominating actually clowning them. As he was probably using aim bot while shooting his circus like shots and the whole arena was on their toes watching him bully France out.
Luka Doncic in the game dropped 47 points the most in the 21st century by a player and second in the history of the league. He has been playing for some great minutes and continued days. This can have his fans and the Mavs tensed as an injury or improper conditioning can ruin it all and things can go south. But ESPN’s Tim MacMahon has added a totally different take to it.
Tim MacMahon on Luka Doncic’s conditioning after the EuroBasket as the league is about to begin
Everyone is concerned about the superstars like Luka Doncic who play ball in summer during the off-season due to injuries and load. But the story here is a bit different as Doncic is working his way out to the best possible shape before NBA begins. And, talking about that Tim MacMahon quoted: “Obviously, Luka, there’s talent, there’s skill. The dude competes. You know, he doesn’t always train the way you want him to; he doesn’t always, you know, practice; you have to make it competitive I think to get him engaged.”
Further Tim MacMahon talking about Luka Doncic and the stretch he is a part of right now quoted: “But we’ve seen these last couple days, you know, playing the fourth and fifth game in a seven-day stretch, unbelievable focus and competitiveness…Obviously, the Mavericks, you know, the guy’s getting beat up, you’re concerned about that. They don’t have to worry though, is he gonna report the camp in shape? He’ll be in game shape unless he has the most spectacular week-and-a-half ever.”
Tim MacMahon is right with his take as Luka Doncic knows what he’s doing and what is good for him. His decision making skills are as good as his playmaking skills. So doubting him for being out of shape when the season starts will just be foolish as he’s already out there working out in Europe. But the only thing which concerns around him is the injuries and he’ll have to take a bit extra care of those.
