The Los Angeles Lakers are really doing everything and anything possible to get better and be back on track. As they recently brought in Patrick Beverley via a trade in which they sent away Talen Horton Tucker and Stanley Johnson to the Utah Jazz. It’s a serious addition to the team and now they have a new supporting veteran player who can hustle all day long and lock up the rival stars whenever and wherever needed. Patrick Beverley’s addition is actually very understandable as his defensive skillset will be very important for the team’s new system under new Head Coach Darvin Ham and that’s exactly what Shannon Sharpe believes too.
The latest landing of Patrick Beverley doesn’t make the Los Angeles Lakers a championship roster but it surely improves them a lot. And, now they have a guy who really can play defense while getting into the heads of the rivals. As Beverley undoubtedly is the biggest trash-talker in the league and he even has the crown with the tag. He’ll be suiting up next to Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis and LeBron James soon and the fans will get to admire some great basketball again. As the defensive bag of the former Jazz guard is the real deal and something the Lakers really need after missing their role players last year.

Shannon Sharpe on the Lakers bringing in Patrick Beverley
Shannon unlike many others is riding with the trade and is a believer for Patrick Beverley owning the league with the Los Angeles Lakers. As recently, on a segment at “Undisputed” talking about the trade and defensive expert he quoted: “I like the deal a lot. But I don’t believe Patrick Beverley is the defender he once was, but he’s better at defending than anybody the Lakers currently have… What Pat brings to the table is exactly what Darvin Ham is looking for. A defensive intensity, a defensive mindset and a role player that understands his role and is willing to master that…We have guys that can put the ball in the basket at higher chance…So hopefully this adds something but we are not finish yet.”
Shannon Sharpe sounds very right and sensible while talking about Patrick Beverley joining hands with the Lakers. As his addition is surely improving the team but they have a long way to go. Even the biggest trash-talker is a veteran now but we all know he still has the dog in him and can upset many in the NBA hardwood. Darvin Ham is really building a defensive backcourt there in LA. As he has already told Russell Westbrook to be more on the defensive end and now they brought in Patrick Beverley. He is also a veteran who knows how to carry a team to the playoffs and with his Basketball IQ and deep defensive bag the Lakers can surely pull up a big difference this year. But again it’s also necessary that the stars of the team cooperate with each other and be in their best form. As the disrespect for the team out there is unreal.
