“How can it be disrespect when it’s just facts” NBA Analyst claims LeBron James’ 3-point percentage crosses him off the GOAT List

LeBron James over the years has been regarded as the best player of this generation, and with a title like that there are bound to be critics, but no other person has been more of a staunch critic of him than Skip Bayless. With every milestone or decision that LeBron takes many fans are already expecting what Skip’s thoughts will be. And recently on Undisputed, Bayless once again challenged LeBron’s position in the GOAT list.

On a discussion of who is the most disrespected player in NBA History on Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe claimed it was LeBron, and unsurprisingly Skip Bayless had to disagree.“How can it be disrespect when it’s just facts? I don’t embellish, I don’t exaggerate, I just speak facts about LeBron James. He has so many self-inflicted wounds, so many epic fails, that it’s not disrespect. It’s just truth, truth, truth.”

With the conversation taking a turn to the GOAT discussion as usually does when LeBron’s name is mentioned anywhere, Skip pointed out, “He’s a career 34.6% 3-point shooter. That is horrendously bad for a GOAT. It’s impossible. Since LeBron entered this league, for those players who’ve attempted 3,000 or more 3-point shots, LeBron ranks 63rd out of 70. That is disqualifying bad. Look at his free-throw shooting, it’s 73.4% since he entered the league. For those who’ve taken 4,000 or more free throws, he ranks 29th of 33. You’re disqualified from any GOAT discussion. He’s not Jordan because he can’t shoot.”

Skip Bayless is LeBron James’ Biggest Rival

Lebron’s 19 seasons in the league till now have seen him go up against many of the greatest players to ever play the game. His rivals include but are not limited to, Dirk Nowitzki, Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry, the whole of the Spurs and Celtics or to even be poetic, chasing Jordan’s legacy. But while this rivalries course and sometimes revived, the only person that has been a constant needle in LeBron’s journey is Skip Bayless.

Skip being LeBron’s harshest critic has not left him any bit of breathing room, Bron was invigilated crudely for his move to Miami, his championships have been crucially examined and every highlight of James, Skip always somehow manages to spin a hilarious turn on it and most recently LeBron’s contract extension too was no exception being scrutinized by the Analyst.

Though very rare, The analyst has said pleasant things about the King over the years but very minimally, a rare moment being recently when he criticized Jeannie Buss, owner of the Los Angeles Lakers for not treating LeBron with the respect that Kobe got, and wanted her to embrace James into the organization which he, in Skip’s own words “deserves because he(LeBron) has earned that.” While LeBron enters his 20th season with hopes for a championship and ultimately deepening his legacy as much as possible, it will be interesting to see what Skip Bayless will have to offer with every new milestone James achieves.
