“He could be a pest to the opposition” NBA Analyst feels Patrick Beverley will either be a bust or boom with Lakers fans
Patrick Beverley
The Los Angeles Lakers recently landed Patrick Beverley in a blockbuster trade as they aim at improving their defensive end which they lacked behind last season. And, that’s also a good move under new Head Coach Darvin Ham’s system. The Lakers were terrible last year and didn’t even make it to the play-in tournament as their Big Three failed to do so. But Patrick Beverley led the Minnesota Timberwolves to the postseason and still, that’s the same job the Lakers have acquired him for.
Not many are a fan or are even riding with this addition of Patrick Beverley next to Russell Westbrook. As both the guards have some good history with each other and share a relationship of pure hate for almost a decade now. But Patrick Beverley and Brodie both are working on it as they’ll have to suit up together if they want to stay in the business and even be able to deliver for the team.
Patrick Beverley is a trash-talker and that too an elite one. And, he has already shown out that skill of his by not bowing down to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. He has also called out Russell Westbrook already and is super excited to suit for Los Angeles Lakers. But not many are believing in him and the move the Lakers have been making.
NBA analyst Brian Windhorst recently appeared on “The Hoop Collective” podcast and mocked the signing of Patrick Beverley by calling him out and his goals with the Lakers. He also claimed the duo to not work and the trade to either be the best or a bust one and also fired a shot at Russell Westbrook by warning him about a trade which will lead him to get cut in the future.

Brian Windhorst on Patrick Beverley joining the Los Angeles Lakers
Brian Windhorst discussing the Lakers’ signing of Patrick Beverley quoted: “Beverley last year ended up in Minnesota, made the best of it and got a contract extension out of it. He’s going to do the exact same thing with the Lakers. He’s going to get there and try to make the best of it, be the best soldier he can, be a pest to the opposition, have the fans fall in love with him and try to get another contract. That’s his goal.”
Brian Windhorst also pointed out how even with Patrick Beverley’s addition the Lakers lack offense and shooting especially from the downtown. And, he wasn’t all wrong saying that so if the duo doesn’t improve their relationship and more importantly isn’t back on the best possible form. The Lakers may once again fall down to the south and add another L in their books. But Pat looks confident as he is already trash-talking out there and making a lot of noise in his first media interactions itself.
