“They’re publicly trolling him” NBA Analyst on Kevin Durant ranting about his NBA 2K23 rating

Kevin Durant had quite the interesting stretch of weeks dealing with the off-season drama hoping that he would get trade to a safer situation. But it all boiled down to other teams having insufficient assets and the Nets adjusting to demands of the player and the off-court staff members. The main reason for the chaos is still unknown, however.
Since the start of the off-season, the 2x Champion has been heavily looked down on for wanting to play in a winning situation unlike how the Nets were last season. He had comments telling him he was an “abject failure” or never lead a team when they needed him to. Maybe these analysts were a little too harsh but KD still has to prove he is a leader.
Kevin Durant gets offended by his NBA2K rating
Kevin Durant, despite the horrible season put forth by his team had an amazing year averaging 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game. The Slim Reaper appeared only for 55 regular season games due to a knee injury. Being selected as an All-Star team captain, he missed the game after losing his grandmother.
Recently, the player rating in the iconic game NBA2K were announced. Giannis Antetokounmpo was given the highest rating with 97 overall and five other players including Durant, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Joel Embiid and reigning MVP Nikola Jokic were tied for second place with a 96 overall rating. The Sniper took offense to not being given a 99 overall rating.
He took to Twitter tagging the video game’s curator saying, “Aye @Ronnie2K I’m gonna need an explanation on why I’m not a 99? This has become laughable.” Ronnie replied to Kevin Durant in the most humble way he can saying, “I am petitioning for us to remove MJ on the cover and replacing with you the real 99.”
Brain Windhorst, the reporter who was closely following the KD trade situation reacted to the interaction on ESPN saying, “On the court I don’t feel Kevin Durant has any weaknesses. So if you par is that you gotta be higher than Giannis at 97, I don’t think 96 is an insult, but I also don’t see why most of those guys shouldn’t be at 99. That’s my amateur opinion on the 2K ratings.”
