Brooklyn Nets deserted player Ben Simmons hasn’t been able to reflect a solid performance for his team. He has misplayed whenever he took the court for the Nets. The Australian guard was supposed to have a season worth remembering, but it seems to keep happening negatively for him.

Since his NBA career began, Ben Simmons has been unwilling to shoot in the game and has always been criticized for the same. In the game against the Mavs, during the first quarter with around 3 minutes and 18 seconds remaining. He had the ball under his control. As seeing the defender getting to him, he passed it on to Kevin Durant and ran in. Kevin then quickly passed the ball back so Ben could attempt a lay-up. But he ended up with the worst airball lay-up anyone could have seen. He tried to collect the ball again and make one more attempt but failed at that. As the ball jumped out of the court.

The Brooklyn Nets played against the Dallas Mavericks on their home court. Performance-wise, both teams are sailing in the same boat and this made the contest even more interesting. The Nets management has shown tremendous faith in Ben, but somehow, he hasn’t been able to reflect the same on the court. His debut for the Nets was also horrific. Undoubtedly, he was a much better player when he played for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Ben Simmons is having a tough time playing Basketball at the moment. He is yet to step up and prove his mettle on the big stage. Considered one of the ‘Big 3’ of the Nets team, he hasn’t been able to deliver for them in the way he is expected to.

Simmons was traded from the Sixers to Brooklyn midway through last season but didn’t play a single game for them as the Nets were thrashed by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs. NBA fans have been mocking players whenever they get a chance, even before the regular season began. But everyone expected him to come back and make a significant impact to silence his critics.

But Ben has failed even to do that. If this is how he keeps performing, it will not be long before he is left out of the team, and no one will be ready to invest in him. When his poor lay-up shooting video went viral, the fans quickly reacted. Some of the many reactions can be seen below:
