“Chef Curry should join MARVEL UNIVERSE” NBA Fans mock Stephen Curry for ridiculous flop in clutch vs Grizzlies in Game 4

Steph Curry with a clutch flop in Game 4

Bricks were laid down at Chase Centre as Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors scrambling past Memphis Grizzlies. It was not the prettiest of victories but a vital one as Warriors take a commanding 3-1 lead of the series. The Warriors were snoozing for 3 quarters and entered the final period down down by seven points. However, they got their heads down when they had to as they found their range, put the brakes on the Grizzlies, and Steph put in a clutch flop, grinding out a 101-98 win over the Memphis Grizzlies and leave the Bay with momentum on their side.

Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole and the rest of the Warriors put up a dismal shooting display all night and couldn’t get consistent rhythm going with their offense. The Warriors didn’t take their first lead of the game until two free throws from Curry with 45.7 seconds left in the game, making it 94-93 in favor of the home team.

Memphis was at half strength, playing without Ja Morant who is out due toa knee injury. The Grizzlies are not going to forget letting this one slip any time soon as they had every chance to win this game and go back home in a 2-all tie with the fans rallying behind them. Now the series feels a little out of reach at 3-1.

The Warriors were without their Field Marshall which explains their chaotic play at the beginning of the game. Steve Kerr tested positive for COVID-19 , 2 hours prior to tipoff which meant Mike Brown, on the same day he was named the Sacramento Kings’ next head coach, would serve as Golden State’s acting head coach, in place of Kerr. Steph Curry spearheaded the Warriors offense with a game-high 32 points, although it took him 25 shots to get there. He connected on just four of his 14 3-pointers, but finished the game with 8 clutch free throws and dropped 18 fourth-quarter points.

However Steph’s most vital contribution to the game was this flop, with 25 seconds left in the game when the Warriors barely up by just a point, leading the tie 94-93. While attempting to box out for a defensive rebound, Curry was brushed from behind by Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane, and the former MVP pounced on that opportunity to draw a foul, winning two free throws in the process.

It is only natural for players to resort to any means whatsoever to gain advantage in-game, Steph did exactly that by exaggerating the contact he received. While many generally look down upon that sort of behavior, it comes off as hilarious for the others. NBA fans swarmed the internet post game to react on this play, as Golden State Warriors took the win

Andrew Wiggins had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Thompson scored 14 points with Klay And Jordan Poole going 0-10 for 3 pointers, Curry making only 4-14 of his own. Tyus Jones had 19 points, six rebounds and five assists as Memphis missed injured All-Star Ja Morant. The Warriors will take the victory with open arms, as they would look to close out the series in Game 5. While Steph Curry’s Oscar worthy heroics have saved the Warriors today, it will not be as easy in Memphis. Will the Memphis Grizzlies find a way out at their home court or is it time to party already in the Bay? Memphis awaits, for another intense encounter.
