NBA fans mock D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards on competing for the WORST performance of the night
D'Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards got flamed for their horrible shooting stats in the first play-in game of the Western Conference
D'Angelo Russell
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves last night at the crypto.com arena while D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards were cancelling out each other’s bricks. The Timberwolves’ third-year guard had an awful shooting night as he went 3/17 from the field and 0/9 from three-point range for 9 points on the night. His opponent D’Angelo Russell had a below-par night of his own scoring just 2 points going 1/9 from the field.
D’Angelo Russell missing his shots did not impact the Lakers as much as Edwards’s performance to Minnesota, as he is their leading scorer this season. NBA fans laughed at Russell’s performance while the Timberwolves were up by 11 points in the second half, but by the end of the game, the Ant-Man was the face of the mockery, with the Wolves losing in OT.
NBA fans ripped into the pair on Twitter, calling D’Angelo Russell “Ice cold” about his ice in his-veins celebration and using it to mock his cold shooting splits. One fan claimed that Edwards and Russell were having their won bricks contest on the night as Edwards won the brick contest and Russell won the game. Russell also made up for his poor shooting by dishing out eight assists on the night.

NBA Twitter did not spare the D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards
NBA fans went after Russell and Anthony Edwards, calling out D-Lo for trading his form for a playoff spot with the Lakers. The Los Angeles Lakers qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2021 and faced the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night for Game 1. Optimistic Lakers fans claimed D’Angelo would be back in form for Game 1.
Fans compared Anthony Edwards’s performance to Finding Nemo by saying – “Between Anthony Edwards and Nemo, I don’t know who is harder to find. Completely lost this game.” Edwards had four turnovers and four fouls to end the game and looked utterly lost while trying to create any offense for Minnesota. The third-year guard will look to redeem himself in their next do-or-die play-in game.
