D’Angelo Russell is back in action with the Minnesota Timberwolves as the league is back and the Wolves look better and improved. Now the team has the services of Rudy Gobert and so far a confident D’Angelo Russell. As in the recent match-up against the Utah Jazz, the guard made Mike Conley touch earth while draining a game-tying bucket which forced over-time and had the hopes alive.
D’Angelo Russell so far hasn’t been the guy every baller around his career thought he’ll be while using his celebrations. But maybe things change this year as the Wolves have an improved roster and so far in the two games played even D’Angelo Russell looked like a changed man. He put in all the possible efforts for the team to win it all and forced OT. But unfortunately, the Utah Jazz got the job done against them.
The Jazz won the game in OT by 126-132 as Jordan Clarkson (29 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds) and Lauri Markkanen (24 points, 5 assists and 13 rebounds) took care of the business. D’Angelo Russell got himself 23 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block. Russell also got himself the most important game highlight by forcing OT and sending Mike Conley down on the ground.
The Minnesota Timberwolves fell short during the OT and were limited to only 6 points against the 12 points of the Jazz. The season has just started and they have got a lot of time to improve, pick up a rhythm and build some great chemistry around. Fans are rooting for them and especially D’Angelo Russell as they are waiting for him to erupt as a star in the league.

With only 4.4 seconds remaining for the fourth quarter and the game to end, D’Angelo Russell tied the score by drilling a midrange jumper and forced OT. But it wasn’t easy for him as Mike Conley made the best possible efforts to lock him down and was even successful in those until Russell pulled a nasty behind the back crossover and sent him on wheels which had him down.
