Iman Shumpert has made his way back to the NBA headlines but it’s not because of him joining any NBA team and returning to the league. Instead, he got arrested for having a “sizeable” amount of marijuana in his backpack at the Dallas Airport on Saturday. He has also admitted that he was carrying around six ounces of weed in his bag so the allegations are pretty correct and understandable. Iman Shumpert was on his way to catch a flight to see his daughters in Los Angeles but unfortunately, he wasn’t allowed to and got locked up instead for marijuana possession as he was handcuffed and transported to the Airport Jail by the officials as soon as they got the drug violation call right.
Iman Shumpert hasn’t been in the league since 2021 and got his last game registered for Brooklyn Nets. As injuries and his record really ruined his career by taking off some good years from him. He was on wheels for most of the time during his ongoing decade-long career. As he suited up for New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets and Brooklyn Nets. Iman Shumpert though has registered himself as a champion since he was a part of the 2016 NBA Champion team of Cleveland Cavaliers which was led by LeBron James. He didn’t limit his skills to the hardwood and even went all out on the dancing floor. As he won the show “Dancing With The Stars” and became the first player from the league to get that particular job done.
But now all of that greats which Iman Shumpert was respected for can be gone. As if he gets convicted with the charges he’ll be booked for 2 years behind the bar and fined $10,000. The police report as said by TMZ Sports also claims that he also had a Glock magazine and 14 9mm rounds in his bag but had no gun. Fans are calling him foolish and dumb to carry marijuana on his way to Los Angeles, California where the U.S.A government has legalized marijuana. But unfortunately, he’s caught with it in Dallas, Texas where he can land up in some serious trouble.
