“That’s how players go broke” – NBA fans WORRIED about Reggie Bullock as star buys island for friends and family

Dallas Mavericks player Reggie Bullock recently purchased an entire island for his family, and NBA fans seem to be questioning his purchase. He bought a 5-acre island in Belize for his family and vacations. Some fans clowned him for it, as the Dallas Mavericks are currently on the brink of missing the playoffs, and Bullock is already planning a vacation.

Some fans have also questioned Reggie Bullock’s finances. “That’s how players go broke,” said one fan about players of older generations going down the same route. Reggie Bullock is not one of the wealthiest players in the NBA. However, with the average salary has increased so much over the years, it is unlikely that such a thing to happen.

The replies to the tweet ranged from the slander of the Mavericks and Reggie Bullock being an average shooter himself. “Shoulda built one in China cause u going to the Shanghai Sharks next year,” said one fan. Bullock is very likely to be on the trade block next season due to his recent underperformances. Bullock is shooting 25% from three over the Maverick’s last three games.

Reggie Bullock, however, earns 9 million dollars a year as an NBA player and has been one for a long time. NBA players with larger paychecks than usual these days tend to make expensive purchases, and Bullock can afford to make such a purchase. NBA Fans are more critical of it due to the timing rather than the decision itself.

Fans slam Reggie Bullock for buying an island amidst Dallas’ dismal season

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving have been unable to sort themselves out, and Bullock shooting the way he is certainly is not helping. The island could be a likely place for a Mavericks party, however, if they do manage to make the playoffs.

Bullock is shooting just 35% from the field in his last five games, which the Mavs have lost four of. Bullock shot 1-8 from three-point range and 0/4 from three-point range in two of the Maverick’s last three games. Dallas has struggled to find momentum in their team, ended up in close overtime losses, and cannot seem to get over the line.

With Bullock buying an entire island, several fans mocked the player. “Guests include the entire Mavs team,” said one fan being a nod to the Mavericks slipping from the 6th seed to the 11th seed after the all-star break.

The Dallas Mavericks have three games left to save their season, as their playoff percentage has plummeted from 96% in February to 8%. Their last three games are all at home, and they will need the crowd to be at its best to get them over the line. The Mavericks have a 22-16 record at home which would be a source of hope for fans and players alike.
