The Toronto Raptors are seeking to improve on their great 2021-22 season next year, as its core has developed more synergy over the previous season. The Raptors seem to be well, well-run, and possess a budding star in 2022 Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes. After an unexpected season in which they finished as the Eastern Conference’s sixth seed, NBA expert Zach Harper believes the Raptors may reach the Eastern Conference Finals.
Raptors are also expected to make some new signings before the new season begins, joining the list is power forward Reggie Perry who is currently in free agency, along with Reggie Perry, Bojan Bogdanovic’s services are expected to be acquired by the Toronto Raptors who currently plays in the Utah Jazz as a guard

Zach Harper’s expectations with the Toronto Raptors
Speaking on SiriusXM NBA Radio Zach Harper listed down reasons why the Raptors cannot be taken lightly and makeup as serious contenders for a spot in the finals, he said, “In terms of teams that can make the Conference Finals, I love the Toronto Raptors. I really love this Raptors team. If they were completely healthy in the playoffs last year, I think they push Philadelphia maybe. If Philadelphia is healthy, it’s a different story because they have no one for Embiid, but I really love this Raptors team.”
He further said, “I love what they are building, I love Scottie Barnes, I love Pascal Siakam‘s role, Gary Trent Jr., and all these guys. They still need some size, but they’re able to play without size that not many teams can do in the league. They’re so good at being a nuisance to big post players without having that size because they’re so good at help, orbiting that post position to cut off entry passes, I just think that team is capable of making a run to the Conference Finals.”
Toronto Raptors’ resurgence
The Toronto Raptors have managed to pull off the impossible by revamping their entire franchise seemingly overnight, after already having Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, and OG Anunoby from the 2019 championship-winning team, they acquired Scottie Barnes and Gary Trent Jr., who not only formed a tight core but Barnes even went to win the Rookie of the year championship.
The Raptors definitely can no longer be pushed along as they proved last season that they have what it takes to topple a top-seeded team like the Philadelphia 76ers. just when all hope was lost for the Raptors who were seemingly swept from the playoffs managed to pull themselves together fought back and won 2 games even though the result wasn’t in their favor, they showed true competitive spirit throughout their campaign
