The Los Angeles Lakers strongly bounced back from their Game 2 setback to the Golden State Warriors with an incredibly dominant 127-97 victory in Game 3 of a fantastic playoff series. The Lakers now have a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-seven series. The Lakers are able to take advantage of their forthcoming chance to grab a commanding 3-1 lead in Game 4.
Anthony Davis’ astounding 25-point, alongside LeBron James’ 21-point contribution, enabled the Lakers to dominate the game. Nonetheless, it was D’Angelo Russell who truly shone for the Lakers, especially in the first half, as he scored 21 points on 8 of 13 shooting.
It’s noteworthy that the Warriors had a seven-point lead at the start of the second quarter, however, their momentum rapidly vanished as the Lakers took over the game. Stephen Curry who managed to score 23 points, still the Warriors were unable to match the Lakers’ offensive prowess.
Jordan Poole continued his terrible postseason performance with another forgettable night, his defense has been poor, and his shot selection questionable at best. In 10 playoff games, Poole has averaged 11.6 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.4 rebounds, his performances have been heavily criticized by fans and experts alike.
NBA Fans Take to Twitter to Bash Jordan Poole’s Playoff Performance
NBA fans on Twitter were quick to voice their frustration with Poole’s performances, with many calling for him to be traded before Game 4. One fan wrote, “Please trade him before Game 4. This man is singlehandedly ruining this team.” Another fan said, “Hurts me to say it, but it’s looking like he got paid the max too early.”
However, with the Warriors facing a must-win Game 4, it remains to be seen whether Warriors head coach Steve Kerr will make any changes to his lineup in order to try to turn things around.
As the series continues, all eyes will be on Jordan Poole and his ability to bounce back from his poor form. Whether he can turn things around and help the Warriors get back into the series remains to be seen.
