The Phoenix Suns have managed to defend their home court in Game two. After the Los Angeles Clippers put up a stellar show in Game one, the Suns were itching to tie the series 1-1. While the Clippers also looked solid in Game Two, Devin Booker played an amazing game to put the Suns out in front. Booker put up a staggering 38 points playing over 44 minutes. Kevin Durant and Chris Paul provided some brilliant assistance scoring 25 and 16 points, respectively. The game ended in a dominating Suns performance with the scores 109-123.

Russell Westbrook and Kwahi Leonard put up a great fight for the Clippers. Leonard scored 31 points in another impressive playoff performance. However, Westbrook scored 28 points, shooting much better than he did in Game one. Despite Westbrook’s commendable improvement, fans’ conversations are more about Chris Paul than any other player. This is because Paul finally managed to win his first game with Scott Foster as one of the referees.

Chris Paul had lost 13 consecutive playoff games in which Scott Foster was officiating the game. As unbelievable as this may seem, the Paul-Foster rivalry was one of the mind-boggling player-referee relations in the NBA. Paul has had some tough losses because of Foster. One of them was the 2021 NBA Finals Game 6. This was the game where Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in a devastating defeat. However, as everything ends, Paul has finally broken the curse after winning Game two against the Clippers.

It would be fair to assume that Chris Paul himself would feel quite good after the game. After all, a record that cost him an NBA championship has finally come to an end. As the Clippers now travel to LA to play at home, the Suns would like to keep their winning momentum going. All eyes will now be on Kevin Durant, as the superstar is yet to have a big playoff game for the Suns. As for Leonard, he will look to defend home court and go up 2-1 in the series.
