NBA Twitter went after Scooter Henderson for placing unrealistic demands while pretending to be in control of his future in the league.

Scoot Henderson, the basketball world’s newest superstar, has irritated NBA fans all around the world with his “ridiculous” demands. According to draft experts, Henderson is projected to be selected as either the second or third pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. Brandon Miller from the University of Alabama and Victor Wembanyama are expected to lead the way with the #2 and #1, respectively.
However, Henderson believes he should be the top pick and is bound to be the No.1 pick. He confidently states, “I know I’m gonna go one.” When asked if being chosen first overall really makes a difference, Henderson responds sternly and seems puzzled by the question. He says, “Yes, of course. Who wouldn’t want to go first?”
Scoot Henderson appeared to become tense in response to the recent NBA draft experts placing him third behind Alabama’s Brandon Miller. He replied by stating, “It is what it is. The NCAA Tournament is currently in progress, and I knew this was going to happen. I knew people would start talking more about college.” When asked if he would be content with falling to third during draft night, Henderson said, “No, it’s not acceptable.”
The argument for Victor Wembanyama to be the top selection is simple. At 7’4″, he possesses guard-like abilities, which are unheard of for someone of his height. He has proven capable of shooting off the dribble, a highly desirable skill in the current NBA landscape.
With his unique combination of size, ball-handling, and shooting ability, he could very well become a game-changer in the league. Similarly, the argument for Miller at the second spot is quite clear: his 6’7″ height, scoring ability, and lengthy wingspan are incredibly appealing in today’s NBA.
Scoot Henderson’s expectations of himself have antagonized NBA fans across the world
Henderson’s demanding attitude isn’t being taken well by NBA Fans, with the player seemingly “disrespecting” the league’s history. His simple demand of anything apart from the No.1 draft pick being unacceptable has raised questions from fans and pundits. Though his actions definitely seem justified to Henderson, no one else seems to think the same way. Look at some of the reactions people on Twitter had to Scoot’s statements.
Time will tell what happens in the 2023 NBA Draft, though Scoot Henderson disagrees with the current consensus. The status quo is Wembanyama being drafted No. 1, and that doesn’t sit right with Henderson. It’ll be interesting to see how things unfold for the player in the coming future.
