Golden State Warriors nation has officially done it once again. They have regained the top spot in the league proving to haters around them that they are not done yet. This was their sixth finals appearance in eight seasons and fourth title reign overall with their core trio. This may have been the perfect redemption scenario of them since after what conspired following the 2019 finals.
Stephen Curry led the team with 34 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists shooting 12-21 from the field which included 6 three-pointers. Andrew Wiggins played a massive role on defense recording 4 steals and 3 crucial blocks along with 18 points. Klay Thompson gave the Warriors a quick boost in scoring nailing two early threes. Draymond Green worked the floor grabbing 12 rebounds along with 8 assists, 12 points a couple of three-pointers. The chemistry between Curry and Green helped them find open looks and cuts to the rim.

Curry had an emotional ending to the Game walking the sidelines in tears. “At the beginning of the season, nobody thought we’d be here, except for everyone on this court. It’s surreal. Very surreal. We were so far away from it… we hit rock bottom with injuries… never take this for granted because you never know when you’ll get back here.”
Steve Kerr appreciated Curry during the post-game press conference saying, “The thing is with Steph is without him none of this happens and that’s not taking anything away from Joe and Peter’s ownership cause they’re amazing owners built an amazing organization. Bob Meyers one hell of a GM and you know our player, we’ve had some many great players but Steph ultimately is why this run has happened.”
Klay Thompson had also credited his fellow splash brother saying, “Steph was incredible tonight, I’m so happy for him to get that finals MVP. Freaking bozos saying he needed it. I think he’s pretty established with what he can do.” Draymond Green who has been with Curry his whole career also gave his brother props for the win saying, “When you look at a guy like Steph Curry, to have a season he’s had, to have a career that he’s had it’s absolutely amazing. And to stamp that with a finals MVP… I know he said it don’t matter…you want it… and he carried us.”
