Nets star Kevin Durant savagely dunks on ‘legacy talk’ discourse

Kevin Durant 2018 Finals MVP
Kevin Durant in unarguably amongst the Top 10 scorers in the history of NBA. Having played for multiple franchise during his stint in the league, the former MVP has shown his true offensive calibre in each side. Having won 3 NBA Titles, Durant decided to join hands with Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn Nets, in the hopes of forming the greatest ever modern-day duo-ship. But reality was indeed different.

While many questioned his move from the Golden State Warriors to Brooklyn Nets, Durant has always stayed firm with all and each of his actions. Moreover, when the Nets were clean swept by the Boston Celtics in the first-round of the playoffs, many questioned the legacy of Durant, which in turn he recently went onto display to have taken notes of.
What was opinionated by Kevin Durant?
The Brooklyn Nets star actually tweeted a number of other responses to fans as part of this Mother’s Day conversation, only to wind up deleting them and just leaving up this one tweet about “legacy talk.” It’s clear that former MVP, Kevin Durant is annoyed by how much it dominates the discourse and is also surely still sore at his two championships getting criticized by so many fans.

Moreover, he definitely has a point, because a large part of the conversations surrounding the league and particularly the playoffs are about legacy. Furthermore, the fanbase and media love slandering guys who fail. It is just an unfortunate part of the coverage and reaction to games, but it’s hard to see it changing much at this point.

That being said, Kevin Durant has all the work to do to answer his critics after the depleted campaign in 2021-22. With Ben Simmons to perform on the floor with both Kyrie Irving and KD in the upcoming season, will be able to fill the voids of Nets’ back-court? Well it remains to be a matter of speculation, which will be answered in the coming months.
But for now all eyes will be on the playoffs and which four teams among the eight still involved are going to make it into their respective conference finals? Well with millions watching from all around the globe, whose your favorite to win it all?
