American actress Nia Long and Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka have officially settled their child custody and support arrangement for 12-year-old son Kez. As per the court documents, the Nigerian American coach has agreed to contribute $32,500 monthly for the support of their child. Notably, both individuals now share joint custody of their son.

Sole physical custody has been granted to Nia Long, allowing her primary responsibility for their child. Coach Udoka will have reasonable visitation rights. This decision is based on the necessity for Udoka to travel extensively with his team, the Houston Rockets, particularly during and around the NBA season, as outlined in the court documents. Court document read:

Udoka shall have reasonable visitation with Kez, which may take into consideration Kez's schedule and concerns but shall not prevent or interfere with Kez's visitation with Udoka.

The parties shall share or alternate holidays when Udoka is available and Udoka may have up to three non-consecutive weeks of vacation time with Kez each year, which may take into consideration Kez's schedule and concerns but shall not prevent or interfere with Kez's visitation with Udoka. The parties shall notify each other of their intended summer vacation time with Kez no later than April of each year.

The former couple had gotten engaged in 2015 and had welcomed their four years prior. However, their relationship took a turn, leading to a split. Allegedly, the separation occurred following claims that Coach Udoka had engaged in an affair with a female staff member during his tenure as the head coach of the Boston Celtics.
