“Stop Bitc**ng” Nick Nurse reveals truth on heated exchange with Joel Embiid in Game 2

“Stop Bitc**ng” Nick Nurse reveals truth on heated exchange with Joel Embiid in Game 2

Nick Nurse and Joel Embiid

When the Toronto Raptors were scheduled to lock horns against Joel Embiid and his Philadelphia76ers in the first-round series, many expected it to be a tough-ask for the latter team. Given that Nick Nurse’s team caught major form towards the end of the regular season, they surely were unpredictable in their approach against big teams. However, the potential MVP has led from the front.

In Game 2 of Raptors vs 76ers series, Coach Nick Nurse was evidently seen getting into an exchange with marquee scorer Joel Embiid. Safe to say, with the pressure and heat of the game rising, it did not seem that Nurse and Embiid are exchange pleasantries. At least based on their reactions.

Naturally during his postgame presser, Nick Nurse was asked about that interaction with the Philadelphia 76ers’ big man. He didn’t go into too much detail, but he did share a rather tongue-in-cheek response.

It is easy to see where both sides are coming from. Joel Embiid is really difficult to stop, and so the Raptors have to be physical on him. With that said, fouling the Sixers center is unavoidable if they want to slow him down.

To those who are not aware, Joel Embiid finished Game 2 with 31 points, 12 of which came from the free-throw line. Coming off a dominating victory, Embiid had game-high 11 rebounds as well, pretty much signifying his dominance in the air and around the paint.

That being said, Nick nurse might be fully charged in game 3 as he would have the support of his fans behind his back. Will that be enough to stop the dominance of Joel Embiid and James Harden in the next game? Because surely a win for the Sixers, could push Raptors right on the edge of the cliff. What mockery and actions awaits, remains to be seen.
