“He belongs somewhere else better” Nick Wright terminates trade discussions on Kevin Durant to Boston Celtics
Where will Kevin Durant land by the start of the 2022-23 Season seems to everyone’s query by now. Nothing is confirmed yet but the trade packages are only getting better everytime. Several experts have come forth saying that a swap may not happen immediately but eventually during the season once teams settle into their roster changes and requirements down the line. As for KD, time is ticking down.
Last season was atrocious after the Brooklyn Nets fell through without living up to their full potential. Kyrie Irving who was a major factor to their failures had resigned with the Nets for one more year. Shortly after this deal, the Slim Reaper wanted out. Several teams came forth with interests in the point guard but things have simmered down since the Los Angeles Lakers sorted their issues.
Kevin Durant to the Miami Heat still continues
So far the Miami Heat have been a top destination on Kevin Durant’s list of favored teams to play in. Much like other teams, the Heat would also have to give up pieces important to them such as Duncan Robinson, Bam Adebayo or even Tyler Herro. Even though KD’s 29.9 points per game resurgence would work tremendously on Erik Spoelstra’s defensive schemes, right now it does not look too appealing.
The All-Star forward signed a four-year extension with the Nets last year which is valid until the 2025-26 Seaon. As for what happened with the Nets was not in his hands but he realises time is precious and his is running out. He has told sources over and over again that he desperately wants to win and will do anything to get to that level.
Nick Wright says newest Boston Celtics offer may fall through for Kevin Durant
It seems like the Boston Celtics are willing to take anything to find themselves beating everybody to win the title next season. Jayson Tatum is on the rise and a pairing alongside Kevin Durant will only be marvellous for the team. The Celtics recently expressed interests in him and the trade will most likely involve Jaylen Brown.
On the First Things First, Nick Wright had created his top five trade scenarios involving the Durant. One of the scenarios also had him reuniting with the Golden State Warriors while giving up their former defensive player of the year. But his Celtics scenario was what he believed will happen.“We know the parameters of it —Jaylen Brown plus Marcus Smart, Payton Pritchard and a couple 1st round picks for Kevin Durant. But it’s not my favorite trade.”
