“As long as LeBron James is there he’s got a future” Nick Young blatantly suggests Bronny James to be a potential Laker only because of his father
LeBron James, Bronny James and Nick Young
Nick Young is back in the NBA headlines even though he is going flying out in the boxing rings. The reason this time is again his comments and on the receiving end we have Bronny James. The whole basketball world is waiting on Bronny to decide which college he wants to be committed to. But Nick Young has his mind very clear with the answer as he wants the young King to follow his footsteps.
Nick Young wants Bronny James to become “Swaggy Bronny” just like him as his nick is “Swaggy P”. So recruiting him to University of South Carolina when there are rumors of him being linked up with Ohio State University. Nick Young trying to get him where it all started for him quoted: “USC, for sure. Back home, I went there. ‘Swaggy Bronny,’ he could be little ‘Swaggy Bronny.’ Plus it’s in LA, it’s in California. Why leave when you already out here comfortable? Dad’s here. Dad can come watch you play. Mom can come watch you play…Do you want to leave a big house.”
Nick Young’s words and take though look sensible but they aren’t. As Bronny wants to make sure he joins a good team as at the end of the day the goal is to make it to the league and hoop alongside LeBron James and become the first ever father-son duo on the NBA hardwood. So whatever Swaggy P and several other say or predict it won’t bother the James family an inch while making a final decision.
But Nick Young didn’t just stop there but also took a shot at Bronny James’ future in the league. As when asked about the young King being a Laker. He replied back with the most sensible and expected take which he sees happening until LeBron is around Los Angeles Lakers.
Nick Young on Bronny James joining the Lakers
Nick Young talking about Bronny James being a potential Laker quoted: “As long as LeBron’s there, he got a future.” He’s not wrong with his take but probably LeBron James has designed the plan a bit differently as his next team will be the one drafting Bronny. Since he recently signed a two-year extension with the Lakers and will have flexibility during his son’s draft as he also has a player option with the Lakers. Right now many believe the young King to be a late pick in the first round but he has a lot of time to improve and shock the world with his new bag and become a lottery pick.
