Nick Young fires ‘cheating’ allegations on Stephen Curry, Warriors ahead of Game 6

Nick Young and Stephen Curry

Throughout Game 5 of the NBA Finals, there were a number of controversial calls, the majority of which looked to benefit the Golden State Warriors. Former Warriors player Nick Young was a big fan of the contentious clash, and Swaggy P wasn’t afraid to make some controversial claims throughout the game.

This appears to be a criticism of the game officials rather than the Warriors. After all, Young was once a member of the Golden State Warriors he seemed to be merely stating that the referees need to get their act together and perform their duties properly. Young, on the other hand, expressed his ideas in the most Swaggy P way conceivable.

The Warriors are one win away from winning their fourth NBA title in the last eight seasons, and Game 6 in Boston on Thursday night will be a must-win for the Dubs. After handing the Celtics their first back-to-back losses of the playoffs, the Warriors climbed to 15-6 in the postseason. The Warriors have a chance to eliminate the Celtics and finish the championship series on the road on Thursday night, so the stakes are high.

Nick Young’s stint with the Warriors’ championship team back in 2018

In the 2017-18 season, Nick Young averaged 7.3 points in 80 games as a member of the Warriors’ bench. He was still a quality shooter when he came in, not hesitant to launch from long range on a squad full of 3-point shooters, despite his playing time being sporadic. He helped the Warriors progress to the NBA Finals with a huge 3-pointer in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals against the Houston Rockets. It was the “biggest moment of the season,” according to head coach Steve Kerr. Nick Young, who had a great time during the season and the championship parade, was released by the team after the Warriors decided not to re-sign him for the following season.
