Two-time NBA MVP, Nikola Jokic made an appearance at Ball Arena on Tuesday during the Colorado Avalanche’s game against the Vancouver Canucks, providing fans with an unforgettable sighting. The Denver Nuggets player was sitting rinkside, taking in the hockey action with his daughter, Ognjena. The crowd greeted the reigning NBA champion, fresh from the NBA 2024 All-Star Weekend, with great enthusiasm.
He was wearing an Avalanche cap and a blue sweater. Jokic received a ton of MVP chants, so the affection was genuine. He smiled in acknowledgment of them. There was nothing ordinary about the gathering. Chants of “MVP” erupted as soon as fans saw Jokic, indicating how highly regarded the NBA sensation really is. Whatever happened in the hockey arena, Jokic was the one receiving the most applause.
In the second half, Jokić’s daughter was cheering along with the audience as the in-arena cameras on the Jumbotron flashed to her during the crowd’s cry of “MVP!” Jokic and other prominent Denver players frequently stop by the Ball Arena to watch ice hockey between the Nuggets and the Avalanche.
Jokic’s time in Denver must have introduced him to hockey in some way since the only other prominent NHL player from Serbia is Ivan Boldirev.
Nikola Jokic and Luka Donic made fun of Stephen Curry
During the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend, the friendship between superstars Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks grabbed center stage. The famous pair shared several hilarious moments, such as the trick on four-time NBA champion, Stephen Curry. In one NBA video that was released, Doncic dribbled Curry into the paint, whereupon he got Jokic to sprint up and dunk on the star Warrior.
As Curry and Doncic let out a bit of laughter, the athletic two-time MVP pushed off on Curry’s shoulder, converted the slam, and screamed playfully while flexing. When Curry asked about the Dunk confirmation, Doncic replied with a “yes.” Then Jokic was seen asking reporters about the clip of him jumping over Steph.
Stars may be a lot more relaxed this weekend than they are during the season, so it’s always wonderful to watch moments like these.
